Munster Heroes...and us!

The best thing about our trip to Limerick University on May 20th was probably meeting the Munster Rugby team as they trained for Saturday's Heineken Cup Final against Toulouse in Cardiff. We got pictures taken with Peter Stringer, and best of all, Kilkenny man Ian Dowling!

School Tour 2008

Junior Infants, 4th, 5th and 6th classes went to Limerick on our school tour again today, May 28th. These are some of the activities we did!

Yippee!!

We got great news here today...we have been awarded our first ever Award of Science Excellence! We are delighted! Well done to all the children involved in 5th class and Junior Infants and their teachers Mrs Murphy and Ms Fitzgerald.

I know what I am doing!

5th Class took to the great outdoors this week to find the perimeter of the infant yard, the basketball court, the big yard and the pitch. They used metre sticks and the trundle wheel. It wasn't all plain sailing! They needed a rest after all the hard work!

Skipping!

We love to skip with Ms Skehan!

We made plasticine divers in 5th class this week, which we attached to pen lid "oxygen tanks" and then we got them to float and sink in bottles of water. Some of our divers were too big and only sank but others worked really well.

Look at our potatoes! They are like beanstalks! If you look really closely you can see the actual potatoes in one picture.

These are the desk organisers we made in 5th Class this week. They are made from cardboard inserts and card. We decorated them with tissue paper and glue and then embellished as we wanted!
